The Andoya Fisheries, A.S. is a Norwegian company placed in Andenes, in Arctic circle, created in 2010, by the Rui Costa e Sousa & Irmão, S.A, with 100% Portuguese capital, dedicated to the initial processes of transformation, splitting and salting cod.
In order to operationalize the quality route of Group Rui Costa e Sousa & Irmão, S.A. companies and predicting changes in the raw material markets, namely Norway, followed a pioneering strategy, of cod industry verticalization. In this regard, not only acquired a reception unit, Andenes Fiskemottak, A.S., but also invested in the construction of the unit of splitting and salting, Andoya Fisheries, A.S. 20 million Euros invested to allow to control the cod from the water outlet, to splitting, salting, drying and soaking up to the consumer's table.
