BomPORTO Cod Sounds Bean Stew

Ingredients:

• 2.2lb (1kg) of Cod Sounds
• 2.2lb (1kg) of White Beans
• 2 mature Tomatoes
• 3 Onions
• 4 Garlic cloves
• 2 White Beers
• 2 Bay leafs
• Parsley
• Chili, to taste
• Bacon
• Smoked Pork Sausage (Chouriça)



Step by Step:

1. Cook the white beans and set aside the water or use pre-cooked white beans.
2. Sauté with olive oil, onions, garlic, bay leaf and parsley, then adding the tomatoes, the beer and the bacon.
3. Add the "chouriça", diced carrots, and the already washed Cod Sounds. Mix and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
4. Add the white beans. As needed, add the water previously set aside.

For a creamy sauce, mash a small quantity of white beans with a bit of its broth. Gently blend it with the stew.
